There are big issues facing Canadians: A crisis in housing availability, ongoing energy and climate concerns, and lack of connection to community.
At Watercolour, you can choose a different path to peace.
Choose a Space Where You Can Breathe
CMHC, Canada’s voice for financing homes, says we need to build 5.8 million homes by 2030 to restore affordability. Many builders and land planners are building high-density housing crammed into small tracts of land in order to make homes affordable. But what about LIVEABLE? At Watercolour, we believe that healthy homes and communities need space to breathe in generous lot sizes. We’re one of the few places you can buy a new, right-sized bungalow, on a full-size lot.
Choose Net Zero
Energy prices are higher and weather events feel more intense and unpredictable. The building code hasn’t changed significantly since the 1970s so most new homes are leaky and inefficient. We need to do better. Every home at Watercolour Westport is certified Net Zero Ready and fossil-fuel free. These high-performance homes are being built to a code that won’t be enforced until 2035.

Choose community
Our land planning and home building is centred around better and healthier living in a walkable community with sustainable homes. We’ve been influenced by great architects and land planners, such as Andrés Duany.
