We love our village so we bought some plants!
To naturalize our pond this past spring, we purchased plants from the RVCA that align with what is native to the Westport area.
The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority does important work that protects and provides opportunities for everyone, including Land Ark Homes to do their part in land stewardship.
Here are some of the native species that are taking root – Bebbs Willow (Salix bebbiana), Nannyberry (Viburnum lentago), White Spruce (Pices glauca), Black Elderberry (Sambucus nigra), Smooth Rose (Rosa blanda), Red Osier Dogwood (Cornus stolonifera), and Alternate Leaf Dogwood (Cornus alternifolia).
You can learn more about the RVCA here.
Our Harvest Creek loop trail is open and so is the pathway around our second pond in Rice Farm.
Congratulations to our new homebuyers. Check out our site plan and see all the RED in Phase 2! Those are sold homes to people looking for a better place to call home.
Come for a visit, soon! We’d love to meet you.
